Metabolic Research Center Reviews

Frequently Asked Questions

Are MRC weight loss plans really sustainable?

Yes, any legitimate weight loss program must be sustainable. Since individual metabolism, body types, and genetics can play a major role in weight gain, no single diet is best for every "body." That's where our experienced weight loss consultants can help you identify an effective and sustainable approach for permanent weight loss.

Do you accept insurance for prescription weight loss?

At this time we are unable to process insurance through our offices. We do accept Flex Spending and HSA on applicable purchases of weight loss medications and products. Some carriers may also reimburse you for all or part of your medical program costs; this is a conversation best had with your carrier to see what they will cover. Our prescription medications are affordably priced so that the vast majority of individuals are able to afford their medication without the supplementation of insurance.

Are your medications made in compounding pharmacies safe?

Our medications are prepared by licensed compounding pharmacists who follow strict quality standards and guidelines.

Are the prescribed compounded medications injectable?

Yes. Our compounded weight loss medications are injected subcutaneously either into the stomach or thigh. We will provide directions and work with you to make sure that you feel confident administering your medication prior to starting.

Will your office show me how to administer my medication?

Yes, when you are provided with your weight loss medication you will also be provided with clear instructions on how to administer your prescription. Your MRC Team is available to answer any questions you may have.

My life spun out of control and so did my weight. How can MRC help me?

If you are overweight, you are likely more interested in losing fat (inches) rather than a specific amount of weight. For most people, their metabolism spends too much energy burning carbohydrates and has little juice left to burn fat. Nutritional ketosis works well for losing weight, especially stored fat. By rewiring your body to use specific levels of each macronutrient (fats, carbohydrates, proteins), you can control your weight.?We provide the support, education, and encouragement for you to attain your goal weight while celebrating your success every step of your journey.

I want to reduce the amount of medication that I currently take. Can MRC help?

Some of our clients have reported changes in wellness that have allowed them to eliminate certain medications. Some medications, however, are prescribed for non-weight related conditions. In general, losing weight, eating real (healing) foods, being more active, and making lifestyle changes will help restore your overall health.
