Compounded Injections for Weight Control

Compounded injectable medications play a vital role in addressing unique patient needs, particularly when standard, mass-produced pharmaceuticals are unavailable or unsuitable. These specially prepared formulations offer tailored solutions by allowing adjustments to dosage, ingredients, or delivery methods, making them invaluable for those with specific requirements or allergies to FDA-approved medications. Discussed below are some of the compounded medications that may help you reach your long-term goals:

  • Compounded Semaglutide –Unlike mass-produced options, compounded semaglutide is formulated in a compounding pharmacy to meet the specific needs of an individual patient as prescribed by a licensed clinician.
  • Compounded Tirzepatide – Working closely with an MRC network healthcare provider ensures patients can maximize the potential of compounded tirzepatide to document their specific health requirements.
  • Compounded Liraglutide – By combining the benefits of GLP-1 receptor agonists with the flexibility of personalized compounding, this option offers an effective and individualized approach to long-term weight control.
  • Compounded Methylene Blue – Unlike standard medications produced by major pharmaceutical companies, methylene blue is specially compounded at accredited pharmacies to meet an individual’s specific needs.
  • Compounded NAD+ – Compounded NAD+ solutions provide a personalized way to replenish declining NAD+ levels, helping to enhance cellular health and metabolic function.
  • Compounded Lipo-B (MIC+B12) – Key ingredients like vitamin B12, methionine, inositol, and choline work synergistically to enhance fat breakdown, improve liver function, and promote energy production.
  • Compounded GAC (glutamine, arginine, carnitine) – Compounded GAC injections offer a cutting-edge approach to wellness through a specialized blend of amino acids, including glutamine, arginine, and carnitine.
  • Compounded Glutathione – This powerful compounded tripeptide plays a vital role in maintaining cellular health by protecting cells from free radical damage and supporting detoxification processes.
  • Compounded Sermorelin – Compounded sermorelin is a synthetic 29-amino acid polypeptide designed to mimic the natural growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) in the body.

Certified compounding pharmacies play a vital role in creating personalized treatments for patients with unique healthcare needs.  Compounded medications, though not FDA-approved, are prescribed by MRC's network of licensed healthcare providers when specific circumstances require custom-tailored solutions. MRC’s individualized approach may include compounded versions of the latest GLP-1s to support weight loss by reducing food cravings, encouraging a natural approach to weight management, and optimizing metabolic functions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have labs done through you or can I use my own?

In most cases, lab work is not required. Should our physician need to see your labs, they will let you know on an individual, case-by-case basis. If labs are needed, then you are welcome to provide your own from your primary healthcare provider, provided they are in date and include any required panels.

Will my prescription weight loss program make me feel tired and sluggish?

Fatigue can be a side effect of GLP-1 medications. While not common, you may experience some sluggishness while taking your prescription weight loss medication. If you do experience tiredness, your MRC Team will have tools, resources, and tips to help you overcome any side effects.

My life spun out of control and so did my weight. How can MRC help me?

If you are overweight, you are likely more interested in losing fat (inches) rather than a specific amount of weight. For most people, their metabolism spends too much energy burning carbohydrates and has little juice left to burn fat. Nutritional ketosis works well for losing weight, especially stored fat. By rewiring your body to use specific levels of each macronutrient (fats, carbohydrates, proteins), you can control your weight.?We provide the support, education, and encouragement for you to attain your goal weight while celebrating your success every step of your journey.

Can your diet lower high blood pressure?

Our personalized menus combined with the American Heart Association's recommended lifestyle changes can help you manage your blood pressure. Eating real foods is an essential component in maintaining your body's hormonal balance. Hormonal imbalances can contribute to dangerous diseases like hypertension, heart disease, and stroke.

How old do you have to be to participate in prescription medical weight loss programs?

You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in any of our medical programs.

Is this a medical weight loss program?

Yes and no. Metabolic Research Center programs were developed by doctors working with certified dietitians. Our menus are deeply rooted in food science and nutrition. There is, however, no surgery and no prescription drugs. Instead, we help you determine what your body needs and recommend the supplementation and diet that will best support your efforts.

How much does MRC's weight loss programs cost?

Prices will vary depending on your personalized menu and the level of support you need. The average cost for our standard 17-week program is as little as $7.00* per day. All our programs include; easy to follow customized weight loss menus, private one on one support, unlimited weigh-ins and more. Many of our clients report spending far less on food after beginning our program. Because you are preparing most of the food yourself (and eating less of it), you are likely to realize significant savings compared to other diets that use their own pre-packaged meals. *The estimate of $7 per day includes a 17-week weight loss program and the required minimum of 2 MRC High Nutrient Supplements per day. Clients may choose to purchase other products such as additional high-nutritional supplements, nutraceuticals, and meal replacement shakes to accelerate weight loss and further control cravings. Please visit your local MRC center for specific program pricing, products, and services.

Does the cost of my medical weight loss program include my prescription?

Yes, your medical weight loss program includes your prescription, medical supplies, menu(s), and personalized coaching.
