If you have lived most of your life following a fixed mindset, you need to worry less about what others think and discover who you are. Self-awareness is a crucial component for change. People mistakenly focus on all the external stuff related to the change. Whereas, they need to make a commitment to changing how they see everything in their life. You might have heard that it takes twenty-one days to make a habit stick; that's a myth. Good habits are not formed by simply repeating a process but develop alongside your change of mindset. Changing your mindset from a fixed view of yourself to a growth mindset does not happen without experiencing disappointment, so embrace setbacks.

It is important to ask yourself what conditions are needed to realize your desired results, as well as cultivate a positive mindset based on strategies like those listed below:

  • Believe in Yourself - There are biographies of inspiration people that may serve as a role model for boosting your confidence by mimicking their thinking. If you are constantly striving for external recognition, you are really deceiving others and distracting yourself from becoming who you can be.
  • Believe You Can Change - It is important to ask yourself the right questions to uncover negative beliefs that may be standing in your way. Studies have shown that as a person's mindset changes from rigid to growth-oriented, it leads to motivated goal setting with faster results.
  • Believe in Your Pace Only - By adopting a growth mindset, there is a tendency to assume a comfort pace for personal growth, embrace challenges, resist setbacks, and find inspiration in the success of others. Changing your mindset doesn't happen by chance... it happens by choice and investing in a new mindset creates positive results.

William Shakespeare wrote, "...there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." If you want to make positive lifestyle changes, you must embrace challenges, learn from your mistakes, enjoy the effort, and persevere. This way, you can build upon and repair any damage to your self-confidence. Your mindset is a complete collection of your beliefs, thoughts and knowledge about yourself and the world you live in. Your attitude is the filter that determines how you receive information and react to it. Regardless of your circumstances, successful change starts in your mind. You hold the power to make any experience more opportunistic and enlightening.

If I had my way, I would be consuming all the WRONG things & that NEVER WORKED doing my own way! I had been with "MRC" 9 yrs ago & had wonderful result!!! It did not take very long & had the most wonderful mentor at the time who made it even easier to do. When I reacjed goal & got on maintenamce, I kept the weight off for 3 years, no problem. THEN COVID HIT! That made me eventually regress slowly until I was into the thros of disaster, all "grab & go" QUICKIES, not consuming healthy fruits & vegetables anymore & felt defeated & also in denail! Until I called Metabolic again & gor "DEBORAH" (the other Deborah, lol!) on the phone to tell me of a nice option. I made the appt. & FINALLY FOLLOWED UP to decide to start taking my HEALTH more seriously or doctors & medications would take over & I dreaded the thought of that! So, I am back to doing my delicious added protein flavors to my waters & enjoying my delicious favorite chocolate pudding & chicken soup....lol, and not worried if I will be GAINING weight!! It is all about the healthy protein offered by MRC & cooking on my own, healthy lean meats, veggies & fruit together with the structure of this program that really does work! The trick was to get rid of everything I knew in my cabinets & refrigerator & to replace with what I know is required. Was not hard at all & im fact, made me feel EMPOWERED in doing so......was TIME! Time to clean out & eat clean inside!! I just started & the beauty of this program is HOW I LOSE.....NICE & LEAN, THE STORED FAT & then the scale lines up!! It may seem costly at first but it is all worth the expense & work put into it because ypu will feel good energy in the process!
