No, you do not need to have commercial health insurance in order to participate in prescription weight loss with Metabolic Research Center. A referral is not required either.
How much does MRC's weight loss programs cost?

Do you have a weight loss plan for a vegetarian?
Is health insurance required in order to participate in MRC prescription weight loss programs?
Health insurance is not required in order to participate in prescription medical weight loss programs through Metabolic Research Center. Referrals are not required either.
I don't have diabetes or prediabetes. Can I still be approved for a prescription?
Yes, you can still qualify for weight loss medications through Metabolic Research Center without a diabetes or prediabetes diagnosis. Your healthcare provider will conduct a thorough qualifying exam to determine eligibility for participation in prescription weight loss with MRC.
