Dieting is a daunting challenge that is a pain to get started and a bigger pain to keep going. In recent years, there has been a growing argument among experts over where you eat rather than what you eat. Moreover, if you add flavorful diversity during food preparation, you won't end up right back where you started. As it turns out, distracted eating in front of your computer or TV can easily become stored fat, so dedicate a time to eat and enjoy your food.

Not All Condiments Are Created the Same

When you choose the right condiment, you can add flavor and zest to otherwise bland food. Even though your favorite condiment may taste great and you love pouring it on everything, it also may be one of those sneaky sauces that hinders weight loss. Tons of people love blue cheese dressing for salads and as a dipping sauce. However, traditional blue cheese dressings are made with added fats, sugars and sodium. Try your hand making your own blue cheese dressing or dipping sauce to cut down on the unsavory ingredients.

Not all condiments are created the same. Some support good health while others can be all over the board. Moreover, sometime the best tasting condiments are the worst for you. Certain condiments start out with healthy ingredients (like duck sauce, which is made from apricots) but turn bad due to added sugars. Rather than trying to live without duck sauce, why not create your own healthier version from alternative ingredients.

Make Positive Changes to Your Menu Plan

Never focus on the things that you are trying not to eat. Instead, find ways to make yourself excited about the stuff you should be eating.
