Collaborators from Japan, the USA, and Finland. Danish scientists suggest that targeting the PLVAP gene could be key to overcoming common barriers by offering new hope for those with significant weight-loss goals.

The recent Danish research on metabolism in mice has uncovered the crucial role of a gene called PLVAP, found in liver stellate cells, in regulating the body's ability to adapt to fasting by shifting its energy source from sugar to fat.
