Instantly Reframe Your Mindset for Success

If you want to make positive lifestyle changes, you must embrace challenges, learn from your mistakes, enjoy the effort and persevere. This way, you can build upon and repair any damage to your self-confidence. When you choose to make a positive change in your life, your beliefs do not necessarily need to reflect your current reality, however, they do need to reflect something that is possible to achieve. You may already know that it is time to take action and change things in your life. A favorite quote of Oprah Winfrey's is "The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can change his or her future by merely changing their attitude."

Actionable strategies like the ones listed below help cultivate a positive mindset that is critical for long-term success:

  • Why Mindset Matters - Research suggests a link between your mindset and negative stereotype threats that you believe to be true about yourself, e.g. - all the women in my family are naturally overweight.
  • Flip the Switch Today - There is always more information available than is needed. Finding and following the best advice is the answer. Everything else is a waste of your time.
  • Never Doubt Change is Possible - Recent advances in neuroscience have shown the brain is far more malleable than originally thought and people can accelerate neural growth by the actions that they choose to take.
  • Believe in Better Results - The most damaging effect of a rigid mindset is the emphasis on external rewards and meaningless validations. Happiness is a by-product of an acute awareness of oneself.
  • Time to Change is Now - We all know about that inner voice that habitually causes you to embrace negative thoughts. Stop talking about what you can't do and take a positive action instead.
  • Focus on Your Pace - Set each day's goals as the minimum that you plan accomplish. Then, allow yourself to feel great by overachieving in smaller steps.
  • Time for a Growth Mindset - Never expect perfection and never give yourself permission to fail. Seek feedback, make adjustments and get back on track as quickly as possible.

If you are prone to negative self-talk, simply repeating positive phrases to yourself will probably not get the job done. With a fixed mindset, you are more focused on the risks than the rewards. A growth mindset is needed to proactively confront the same risks you've been avoiding. Once you achieve your goals and become good at something, apply your new mindsets and become good at something else. Changing your mindset from a fixed view of yourself to a growth mindset that sees your potential as unlimited does not happen without experiencing disappointment, so embrace setbacks.

MRC was recommended to me by a friend and I really needed the accountability. The program is great and the coaches are caring and listen to your stories and figure out the best things for you to work on weekly.
