Mary's Story
When I saw an ad in the paper featuring my niece and her amazing success with Metabolic Research Center, it got me thinking about all the reasons I needed to lose weight, too. I’d already lost my brother to diabetes and its complications. So when my doctor told me that my life depended on weight loss, I knew now was the time for me to take action! Still, I found myself wondering if I had the will and discipline to make this happen...you see, I love to bake, and I love to eat my baking!
Despite this, I decided to move forward with the program for my health and my life. Fast forward a year, and my life has changed so much - I've lost 53 pounds and 62.5 inches! It's amazing! I’m off ALL diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol medications, I have endless energy, and I look beautiful in my clothes!
My advice? Find a friend to do your program with! I did, and we got to compare notes and share our experiences; making it fun and twice as exciting. The Salem Center was so encouraging and supportive. They gave me the tools I needed to succeed and never once did I feel alone! In all honesty, I didn’t expect to maintain my loss, but here I am! Two years later - still at my goal - and done forever with yo-yo dieting! My doctor’s so proud of me that he actually calls me his “Poster Child”. I love it!
