My name is Nancy, and I have been on my weight loss journey a little over a year. In years past, I have tried dieting and other health fads - including diet pills. None delivered lasting results. I have a busy life and I thought there would be no way possible that I could join a program. I am the Executive Director of The Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry. I cook for hundreds of people weekly and make sure everyone gets a nutritious meal. I am always looking out for others. I finally realized, though, that in order to take care of someone else I have to take care of myself, too.
I was introduced to MRC through social media, I clicked on their page and was amazed to see all the transformations of the women and men who had joined this program before me. I got so excited and thought that this just might be the answer I was looking for.
I wanted to lose the weight for my health and for my family. Diabetes and high blood pressure run heavily in my family; so I know first-hand what it does to a body. I am 44 years old and don’t want to be on any medication in the future. In 2020 my blood work along with my cholesterol report came back to high. I knew then that I needed to make a big change in my life.
Since being on this program, I have met my goal of losing 40 pounds! I absolutely love my MRC Coach, Tammie. She is an amazing support system and there was never a discouraging word from her. Tammy was always only a text away, and she never made me feel that I was ever a bother...being new to a specific program you can imagine that I had many questions starting out.
Going back for my yearly 2021 checkup I am pleased to inform you that my medical report came back excellent! I give all the thanks to my God, this wonderful program, my coach, my husband, and children for always being so supportive through it all. Thank you, MRC!
Update from Nancy in July 2023: I have kept my weight off now for 2 years! My coaches at my center are so helpful and encouraging. I recommend them highly!
