Learning that some friends already on an MRC program were losing weight and seeing results quickly definitely got my attention. The final straw, so to speak, was when my doctor diagnosed me with Type III hypertension (high blood pressure). I knew it was time to make a change. I needed to get healthy; plus I was missing the backpacking and hiking that I enjoyed.

I won't lie, I had hesitations before getting started. I loved to eat...a lot! Overindulgence and a lack of portion control were two of my best friends. Thirty two weeks later I'm down 90.5 pounds and 66.25 inches. I can proudly say, “I look good in my own skin!” I get compliments all the time, and people tell me how proud they are of my commitment and my accomplishments! By learning good eating habits, I’m actually saving money on my food bill. I’m so much more self aware, and I’m set to keep this weight off for life!

My words of wisdom to you would be to stick to your plan! It’s critical to your immediate success and it will motivate you to long term success! I was somewhat apprehensive about trying this but knew I definitely needed to lose weight. I was 260 pounds at 5ft 1 with low energy. I am diabetic and have other issues so I can’t take many medications or supplements. I have only been in the program a month so far and lost 10 lbs. The new menu is definitely doable and mine had to be adjusted to add a fruit a day because my sugar was actually going low. I have been on Trulicity for several years. I didn’t take my med last week because my sugars are so good now they are actually on the low end. So far so good! I just started using the protein drinks that were recommended to keep muscle mass up during my fat loss. I can take them because there is nothing in them that would make my heart race.
