Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Today the MRC kitchen is bringing you a delicious low-carb, low-fat meal replacement smoothie with our take on the classic strawberry and banana flavor combination! And with 30 grams of protein, this shake is bound to boost your nutrition and ignite your metabolism to start your day off right!
For our recipe we used frozen strawberries and the duo of our strawberry banana protein concentrate and our vanilla creme pudding protein powder. This allows us to enjoy the strawberry-banana taste without using actual bananas to limit our carbs. One banana has around 27 grams of carbohydrates while our serving of strawberries is much less with around 9 grams. You can even use a drop of Banana Extract to pump up the flavor!
Using frozen fruit versus raw is the key to giving your smoothie the perfect consistency. You can purchase bagged frozen unsweetened strawberries from your local grocery store, or you can buy a fresh container and freeze them yourself! You can even pre-portion your strawberries into little baggies before freezing to make it an easy grab-and-go approach!
This smoothie is perfect for breakfast as your full meal. But don’t let that stop you from enjoying this smoothie for lunch or dinner! You just simply add in your vegetable of choice on the side, like a fresh salad or even something fun like kale chips made in your air fryer- then you all of your servings covered!
