Recipe Image: Air Fryer Garlic Parm Fries

Healthy. French. Fries. Yes, you read that correctly! You can have your fries and lose the weight, too! And to top it all off, we’ve covered them with a savory garlic parmesan seasoning. It’s fries like you’ve never had before!

Sometimes when we have our focus on losing weight and eating healthy, certain staple food items find themselves being placed on the back burner or put in an “off limits” zone. This recipe brings back a comfort classic while still keeping you on track towards your weight loss goals! These healthy homemade fries are sure to become a new rotation in your kitchen, for you and the whole family!

While we’re a fan of many baked adaptations of fried foods, baked french fries just doesn’t quite hit the mark. It’s because part of what’s to love about a french fry is that crisp and crunch that you get all over on the outside in every bit. Enter “the air fryer”. Unlike baking French fries, when you use the Air Fryer, it provides an all over crisp that is very similar to what you would get from a deep fryer - without all of the excess fats & oils. This is because Air Fryers use a fan to circulate hot air evenly; allowing the food to cook faster than many other methods. Leaving them crispy and browned on the outside but still soft and tender on the inside.

For this recipe, we’ve topped these crispy fries with a garlic parmesan seasoning that’s packed with flavor, and that’s the recipe we’ve shared with you below. You can, however, easily make variations to this recipe by changing up how you season your fries. Go simple with salt & pepper, or add a dash of paprika and onion powder, or you can even use a tablespoon of dry ranch seasoning and make ranch fries! The possibilities are endless.

The best part about this recipe (and many air fryer recipes) is the simplicity. With a few quick prep steps, you’re on your way to golden fried deliciousness. Peel your potato, make your slices using a sharp knife, mandolin or potato slicer, pat sliced potatoes dry, drizzle with oil and seasonings, and BOOM! Within 10-15 minutes you’ll have crispy and delicious homemade French fries!
