
5 Party Favorite Dip Recipes
7 Layer Dip
Ingredients:
- 16 oz. lean ground turkey breast
- 8 oz. raw tomatoes, chopped
- 8 oz. romaine or iceberg lettuce
- 8 oz. green peppers, chopped
- 4 oz. low-fat cottage cheese (1%) 6 oz. on Meta-Slim Levels
- 4 oz. jalapenos, seeds removed & chopped
- 4 oz. green onions, chopped
- 2 tsp. MRC taco seasoning (recipe included at the end of page)
- 2 Tbsp. water, separated
Directions:
- Cook ground turkey breast in a skillet until done, measure out 12 oz. & return to skillet.
- Add 1 tsp. MRC taco seasoning and 1 Tbsp. of water; remove from skillet and cool.
- In food processor, blend cottage cheese with 1 Tbsp. water & 1 tsp. MRC taco seasoning.
- Chop all vegetables and layer in serving dish; Divide into 5 equal portions.
- Serve cold.
Recommended layering order (starting with bottom layer):
- Cottage Cheese
- Green Onions<
- Green Peppers
- Lean Ground Turkey Breast
- Jalapenos
- Lettuce
- Raw Tomatoes
Makes 5 servings | One serving replaces: 4 oz. protein, 8 oz. vegetables
Buffalo Wing Dip
Ingredients:
- 16 oz. low-fat cottage cheese (1%)
- 1 pkg. ranch dressing (dry)
- ¼ c. Frank’s Wing Sauce
- 1- 13 oz. can of chicken breast meat, drained
- ½ c. grated cheese
Directions:
- Blend the cottage cheese, ranch dressing mix, and wing sauce in a food processor or blender.
- Mix with drained chicken and spread in a 13X9 Pam sprayed pan.
- Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
- Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes.
Makes 8 servings | One serving replaces: 4 oz. protein
Creamy Spinach Artichoke Dip
Ingredients:
- 8 oz. low-fat cottage cheese (1%)
- 2 oz. grated parmesan cheese
- 8 oz. frozen spinach, thawed & drained
- 4 oz. frozen artichoke hearts, drained and thawed
- 1 tsp. water
- Garlic Powder
- Pepper
Directions:
In a blender mix cottage cheese, garlic powder, pepper, 1 Tbsp. water; Pour into mixing bowl & fold in thawed spinach. Add grated parmesan cheese and artichoke hearts.
Makes 3 servings | One serving replaces: 4 oz. protein, 4 oz. vegetables
Queso Dip
Ingredients:
- 16 oz. low fat cottage cheese
- 8 oz. Pepper jack cheese, grated
- 4 oz. Jalapeño
- Cilantro to taste
- Chili powder to taste
Directions:
- Blend Cottage cheese in blender until smooth.
- Heat cottage cheese in saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Slowly and pepper jack cheese until melted completely.
- Add jalapeños, cilantro, chili powder and stir.
Makes 8 servings | One serving replaces: 4 oz. protein
MRC Ranch Dip
Ingredients:
- 16 oz. low-fat cottage cheese (1%)
- ½ pkg. fat-free Hidden Valley Ranch Dip Mix
Place all ingredients in blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Serve with your favorite sliced veggies!
