Aloha Smoothie
Posted by MRC Kitchen on June 26, 2020

As with all smoothies, you could use whatever fruit combinations you like. Some of our Summertime and tropical favorites are strawberries and pineapples; so, that's what we've used in our recipe. Fresh or frozen fruit - either one is fine for this recipe. To give it a final little tropical kiss, our secret ingredient is a splash of banana extract!
When consumed at breakfast, this recipe makes an entire meal! You could also enjoy it at lunch or dinner with a side salad or other fresh vegetables alongside it. It's quick. It's simple. Cleanup is a breeze! What more could ask for? ...other than maybe one of those tiny tiki umbrellas to go on top!
Ingredients:
•4-6 oz. plain, non-fat Greek yogurt*
•3/8 C. strawberries, fresh or frozen
•1/4 C. pineapple, fresh or frozen
•1-2 oz. water
•Zero-calorie sweetener, to taste (optional)
•1/4 tsp. banana extract
•Ice
Instructions:
- Place all ingredients in a blender, and mix until desired smoothie consistency is reached. Tips: If you're using frozen fruit, then you won't need as much ice. If you prefer a creamier consistency, then use less ice and more water. If you prefer an icier/milkshake texture, then use more ice.
- Pour into a frosted mug (or travel cup if taking to go), and enjoy!
