Empower Yourself to Be More Successful in Life

In Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, the psychologist concluded, "If you deliberately plan to be less than you are capable of being, then I warn you that you'll be deeply unhappy for the rest of your life." Some people falsely believe their intelligence and abilities are unchangeable, which is indicative of a fixed or rigid mindset. Since the brain absorbs everything like a sponge, the changes you make to your everyday routine will become second nature to you in no time. Moreover, if you pick up the pace with your changes, your brain will follow. A growth mindset creates a love for achieving new goals and a resilience that it is essential for making the necessary changes in your life.

Positive and negative thinking are both learned habits. Use the tips below to become a positive thinker with a growth mindset for attacking new challenges:

  • Eliminate Self Doubt - Feeling stuck can invoke anger, apathy and other negative emotional responses when you fail to meet your goals. Accept the fact that your mindset was wrong and never create excuses.
  • Don't Procrastinate - Don't allow the up-coming events in your day hold you back. Instead, think positively and control what you choose to think and feel. Success depends on your disposition.
  • Believe Change is Possible - Believing change is possible has many great benefits that let you enjoy what you have already accomplished as well as stay positive about future challenges.
  • Understand and Focus on Your Why - The good news about your brain is that it is willingly to adopt to change. Your challenge is to implement the changes in your thinking patterns to support new growth mindsets.
  • It's Time for Intervention - Change is inevitable, but simply talking about it will not help you manage your mental hurdles. Use your time to work on your own development and learn to embrace change in a positive way.
  • Focus on Your Pace Only - You should have two goals in life. The first goal is to get what you want. The second goal is to take time and enjoy the fruits of your efforts.

Once you decide to make changes in your life, the transformations don't just happen. Optimizing your life is all about developing healthy habits to tackle challenges with growth mindsets, rather than making excuses for why your can't. It requires your vision, a plan, and a support system made of people who can truly help you build your new mindsets. Simply stating that you want to break or change a habit doesn't make it so. To adopt a new habit, you first have to unlearn the old one and replace it with a new behavior. Until you get to the point that your new behavior feels natural, it is not uncommon to catch yourself reverting to your old ways, especially when under stress.

MRC has been a game changer for me in my weight loss journey. I started MRC about 17 years ago and met my weight loss goal. I have continued going to maintain and keep myself on track. MRC is not just about the weight loss; it is a life style change. It is an easy program to follow and stick to. Jenny is the consultant there and does a great job motivating you. She is very knowledgeable about the program and is always helpful in discussing different products and options to keep you on track. Jenny is always positive and I look forward to seeing her each week. She is more than a consultant. She builds a relationship with her clients and I consider her to be one of my friends. I had much success with this program and encourage you to go by and talk with Jenny at MRC. She’s the best!
