Remember the old adage that you cannot out exercise a poor diet. Good choices in the kitchen and very simple resistance exercises can prove very beneficial for losing weight and keeping it off for good. The weight you lose during a fad diet (or any other extreme weight loss plan) almost always returns once your dietary behaviors change. Unfortunately, failed diets often result in weight cycling with extra pounds.

  • Not Losing Fat - Adding lean protein to your daily diet can be an extra weapon in helping you continue to lose unwanted fat deposits.
  • Fatigue - Consuming insufficient amounts of energy or over-exercising to lose weight can have adverse effects to your normal energy levels causing you to feel of fatigued.
  • Hair Loss - Women following a super low-calorie diet plan often experience hair shedding because their bodies are running low on important nutrients. A weight loss specialist can recommend corrective supplementation.
  • Muscle Loss- Instead of loading up on protein at dinner only, try adding eggs or other sources of lean protein at breakfast. Protein is an extra weapon in your arsenal for managing hunger and losing weight safely.
  • Loose Skin - Skin stretches over time to accommodate extra body mass. Unfortunately, when the fat and/or muscle mass is lost too quickly, you skin may not have enough elasticity to shrink back.
