However, the study was retracted this year due to the failure to replicate the original results. Statistical analyses revealed inconsistent patterns in the data, including improbably small p-values given the study's size.

BMJ Group advises journalist and others to stop referencing a study that once suggested drinking small amounts of apple cider vinegar each day could support weight loss in people who are overweight or obese.

While apple cider vinegar isn't the cure-all that internet claims suggest, it does offer some legitimate health benefits. However, it's important to separate fact from fiction.
