Sometimes adding a new twist to your meals can help you refocus your energy to continue on your weight loss journey. If your favorite recipe calls for "fried", try a healthier cooking method like baking or grilling. You might be pleasantly surprised with a new favorite that contains fewer calories. Carbohydrates, proteins, fats, water, dietary fibers, vitamins and minerals are required nutrients. The three macronutrients provide energy in the form of calories. However, the calories that you do not use are stored as body fat regardless of the source.

Overindulgence in Fruits Should Be Avoided

Whole fruit is incredibly nutritious and packed with antioxidants and fiber. Consumption of fresh fruit has been associated with a reduced risk of chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease. However, fruits contain more natural sugars than other whole foods, so overindulgence should be avoided. Despite having slightly different dining rules, all fruitarians eat massive quantities of food and manage to stay somewhat lean and healthy without hunger pangs.

Beware of premade fruit smoothies sold in stores, as these can be loaded with added sugar and drinking one of these every day could sabotage your weight loss plan. Nonetheless, you can avoid drinking a sugar bomb by making your fruit smoothies yourself. There is a good reason that organizations like the American Heart Association and the World Health Organization do not categorize the sugar found in fresh fruit the same as refined sugars added to foods during processing.

Consuming Healthy Fruits and Fats Supports Weight Control

There is no reason to fear adding the right foods to your diet. Healthy fats and fruits trigger your body to produce leptin hormone that reduces feelings hunger and may help to eliminate visceral fat deposits. In addition, fruit is packed with fiber, so expect to make frequent bathroom stops as these foods slide through your digestive system. It is important to keep a healthy weight and eating both fats and fruits can help with weight control. After all, if you are overweight, underweight or obese, you likely have a higher risk of developing certain health problems.
