Food Is Not the Enemy; Fad Diets Are

Blog Image: Food Is Not the Enemy; Fad Diets Are

Food is not the enemy and is truly a necessity, but it can start to feel like the enemy if you're yo-yo dieting. For example, avoid carbs... never mind skip fats... no eat a lot of protein. The more extreme the yo-yo effect, the more health issues that might arise. No matter which fad diet you try, the data is in and Yo-Yo dieting doesn't work. At least not in the end, as almost no one keeps it off for five years. What does work are personalized menu plans with lifestyle changes and a good support mechanism. When you shed a few pounds from your body, you lose both muscle and fat. Unfortunately, when you suddenly gain the weight back, fat gets to ride shotgun and replenishes fat stores first and your appetite remains in high gear until your muscle mass returns.

Personalized Menus Support Healthy Weight Loss

It is always going to be an easier road to travel when you set yourself up for success rather than failure. If you want to lose twenty pounds, start by adopting a happy mindset and practice mindful eating for a week. Personalized menu plans provide guidance, such as:

  • help balance natural hormone production
  • create a balanced meal plan that works for you
  • manage sugar intake to boost weight loss
  • support sustainable life changes
  • help to restore hormonal balance
  • focus on fat loss while saving muscle mass
  • furnish the right diet for your body… not the fastest one

Add an exercise regimen or your body shape will never change. On the other hand, you don't need to set unrealistic strength goals. Adapt your workout to meet your specific needs for boosting your metabolic rate.

Gut and Brain Function are Integral to Losing Weight

Research studies have linked gut and brain function to beneficial probiotic bacteria that are integral to digestion, weight loss, fat mass and mood. Your body serves as the host and, in turn, the bacteria benefit digestion and your overall health and wellness. Your outlook on losing weight has to be sustainable for the results you achieve to stick. Moreover, adjusting your body weight should not be looked at as being a race. Take time to plan then take it is slow and steady. That way the results you achieve will always be there. Learning how to prepare meals and developing better kitchen skills can be a powerful way to lose weight while eating like a king. With good food knowledge, you are more likely to eat a wide variety of nutritious ingredients every day.

I've never experienced a more satisfying eating plan in my life and I feel this is exactly what I've been searching for for over 20 years. I'm almost halfway to my goal and can't wait to cross the finish line this time! I'm so grateful and thankful for Deb and the rest of the staff at MRC.
