Do you have an old pair of socks you no longer wear? You can utilize your discarded pair of socks to make ankle weights. Simply fill each sock with sand or beans. Sew the open ends of both of the socks together. Then stitch the two ends of the socks together. Cans of fruits and vegetables are great options for arm weights. Imagine how much fun you’ll have doing triceps kickbacks and shoulder raises with cans of peaches, green beans, or chicken noodle soup. In addition to cans, plastic bottles can be utilized to perform these types of exercises too. All you need to do is fill empty plastic bottles with sand or beans. You can even decorate your plastic bottle weights by coloring the sand in them. For challenging biceps curls, consider filling 5 gallon buckets with sand or rocks.

When making homemade weights, the possibilities are endless. You just need to gather some common household items and tap into your creative side. Before you know it, you might have a large collection of practical, affordable workout equipment.
