Active Dates to Get You Moving


After sitting at a desk all day the last thing you might want to do is sit down for a few hours in a movie theater or at a restaurant. Whether it's your first date or your fiftieth, there are plenty of fun activities the two of you can do which will also benefit your health.

Ice Skating: Though it may sound cliché, there is something romantic about skating at an outdoor rink. The winter is the perfect time to hit the ice, make some memories, and stay active during a date.

Cross-Country Skiing: If you're a bit more adventurous, try strapping on a pair of cross-country skis and hitting a trail. This is one of the best winter cardio exercises you can do outdoors. The slower pace and peaceful setting is also a wonderful place for conversation and getting to know one another.

Take Rover For A Walk: Dog lovers often meet one another at dog parks. If this is how you two first felt the spark, keep it going by taking your dogs for a walk before the date. This will be a great time to chat and it's great for Rover too.

Trip To The Zoo: Nothing brings back childhood memories and sparks conversation better than a trip to the local zoo. With miles of walking paths throughout, you'll definitely stay in motion and have a fun time to remember. Some zoos even offer zip-lines in case you'd like to add a little extra adventure.

Dancing: Another throwback to yesteryear, going dancing can be fun, romantic, and a real cure for the date-night doldrums. If both of you have two left feet, start taking dance classes together!

Indoor Rock Climbing: Great for beginners and experts alike, indoor rock climbing gyms have a lot to offer. It's a very fun way to add a little competition to date night.
