Always remind yourself of the positives you have in your life. Every time you think of something negative, try and find a bright spot to balance it. It is important to remember that no one's life is perfect. Use your positives to create the motivation you need to make the changes you feel are needed to improve your life.

If You Don't Like Something, Fix It

You are in control of your body. If you are overweight and don't like the feeling, it is up to you to make the necessary changes to fix the problem. If you don't know where to start, talk to a nutritional counselor, personal trainer or your primary doctor to find ways to improve your health, lose excess weight and boost your self esteem.

Avoid Things That Discourage You

Avoid the things that make you question yourself. If you go to the gym and there are certain people who make you feel bad about yourself, adjust your schedule so you are not there when they arrive. Don't sign up for exercise classes or athletic events where you will noticeably struggle to compete. Wait until you are able to complete the activity without stressing yourself. Take your time and learn to be comfortable with yourself.
