What’s the most eaten fruit in America? Is it apples? While apples are popular, it’s bananas that are the most commonly eaten fruit in American, although apples do come in a close second. People in the United States consume an incredible 11.4 pounds of bananas per person each year, while people only consume 10.7 pounds of apples per person annually.
