The Hardest Part Is the Start!
This year was supposed to be different. After being overweight for as long as you can remember, you were finally going to drop the pounds and keep them off for good. So far, things haven’t changed. Sadly, you haven’t even started your weight loss plan. If you can relate to this scenario, you’re not alone. For many people, the hardest part of a weight loss journey is the start. To jumpstart your life changing weight loss program, consider implementing the following three tips.
Start a Food Journal
If you’ve struggled to lose weight and keep it off in the past, transforming your diet is likely in order. To help you accomplish this monumental task, consider starting a food journal. Each day, write down everything you eat and drink. Be sure to include snacks, even that small piece of peppermint candy you ate after lunch. At the end of every week, analyze your journal for strengths and weaknesses. Pledge to work on at least one weakness during the following week.
Enlist a Weight Loss Partner
Have you ever felt like the loneliest person in the world while attempting to lose weight? For instance, you might have felt isolated at a family dinner when everyone except you ate pizza, bread sticks, and ice cream. To prevent these feelings of isolation from occurring, enlist a weight loss partner to share your journey with you. Whenever you feel tempted to eat something unhealthy, you can phone your buddy for some needed encouragement.
Join a Gym
To stay in shape for life, you will need to both eat healthy and exercise regularly. Often, the simple act of joining a gym will make you more accountable to your weight loss efforts. If you spend your hard earned funds on a gym membership, you’ll likely be motivated to use it.
For some people, losing weight feels like an impossibility. Thankfully, armed with a few tools, you can successfully drop the pounds and maintain your weight loss for life.
