Under Think It
Zig Ziglar was known for his uniqueness when it came to creative speaking. His little anecdotes made light of the stresses of everyday in such a way that it spun them into something fun and enlightening. To him, "stinking thinking", simply meant thinking so much it began to stink. It's true. We over think everything from what we wear to how well our diet is going. The bad thing is, the more we over think our diet and weight loss habits, the less weight we actually lose.
Just Let It Go!
When it comes to weight loss and improving your lifestyle, just let it go. Make gradual, but meaningful, changes over a period of time. The more you change, the better off you will be. Making simple changes over a period of time eliminates the stressfulness of the situation. Let it go. Eliminate "it has to happen right now mentality" and just let things take their course. The less you stress over the situation, the easier it will be to stay focused on the task at hand.
Learn How to Under Think Things
When you catch yourself "over" thinking, change the subject and leave it alone. Learn to "under" think the process. When it comes to weight loss or diets, change the subject. You already know what you have to do. Find a way to do it and stop stressing about whether or not you can pass up the slice of apple pie after dinner. What happens if you take the apple? Simply put, you increase your workout time by 10 minutes for the rest of the week. When you add these little fail safes into your overall routine, you will notice you don't worry about failing so much because you have a built in way of saving the day.
