Be Healthy From Now On!

Being healthy is a conscious choice. You can choose to eat foods that are good for you or you can choose to continue to eat the foods that make you feel tired and sluggish. The choice is yours and you are the only one who can make it. If you choose to live a healthier lifestyle, you will need to address a few key points.

The first step is to incorporate healthier foods into your diet. Eliminate processed foods and replace them with fresh fruits and vegetables. Look closely at how you prepare your food. Grill or bake chicken and other meats instead of frying them. Try different spices and herbs if you want to increase a food's flavor.

Drink more water. Water flushes toxins from the body and keeps tissues hydrated. Stay away from sodas and drinks that are full of sugar and syrups. If you don't like the thought of drinking plain water, add a slice of lemon or a dash of mint-flavored chlorophyll. This adds to the detoxifying effects of the water and allows you to incorporate a little flavor into your beverage.

Get active! Move around more. If you don't like conventional exercise or dread going to the gym, workout with your kids or join an athletic league. Go for walks or take a swim. It doesn't matter what you do, as long as you make it a point to remain as active as possible.

Get some rest! A good night's sleep allows your body to regenerate. Tissues are able to heal and your mind is refreshed. Take a cat nap during the day. It will give you a much needed boost to see you through until bedtime.
