4 Steps to Bounce Back for 2015

Many of us tend to overindulge in our favorite foods with friends and family over the holiday season. Slipping up over the holidays is ok, it makes us human. But now it’s 2015 and it is time to make better choices for your body. Below are four simple steps to help you bounce back to a healthy routine in 2015.

  1. Drink Up: Your body is made up of more than 60 percent water. And in order for proper diet and exercise to be effective, you will need to stay constantly hydrated. Water increases your body’s ability to burn fat so we recommend to try and drink half your bodyweight in ounces of water every day. Example: 200lb = 100 oz of water throughout the entire day.

  2. Snack on Raw Foods: A couple days a week we challenge you to snack on some raw fruits and vegetables. Pack a banana for your morning snack and some baby carrots and celery to overcome that 3 o’clock slump.

  3. Walk and Rest: Recharge and relax with a good 30 minute walk every day before or after dinner. Use this time to catch up with your significant other or call your family member that lives across the country. This will help you unwind before bed. And be sure to get at least 7 hours of sleep every night.

  4. Accountability: When you are trying to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle, willpower alone often isn’t enough.
