If you are trying to lose weight, should you snack between meals? Absolutely! Snacking is beneficial to your weight loss journey, as long as you are eating the right foods and the right portions. Below are seven snacks ideas that will speed up your metabolism and satisfy your hunger.

 

  1. Kale chips: We know, they probably don’t sound very good, but we bet you will be surprised at how easy it is to add flavor to this crunchy snack.

  2. Oatmeal: This easy snack is packed with fiber. Add a tablespoon of peanut butter for some extra protein to keep you fuller longer.

  3. Smoothies: Smoothies are delicious and nutritious snack because they are packed with fruits and vegetables.

  4. Hard Boiled Eggs: Add some healthy protein to your midday treat with a hard boiled egg. Pack a pepper packet and sprinkle it on before you indulge in this snack.

  5. Veggies & Dip: Yes, you can eat dip and lose weight! Mix plain greek yogurt with garlic powder and onion powder and start dipping those raw carrots and broccoli florets.

  6. Apples: If you are a busy bee and don’t have time to whip together dips or other recipes, then just reach for an apple. One small apple contains four grams of fiber, along with potassium and vitamin C.

  7. Berries: Apples not your fruit of choice? Grab some blueberries, raspberries or blackberries instead. Eat them plain or add them to a bowl of oatmeal. They are full of fiber and vitamin C and will help lower cholesterol.
