Lunch Habits For Weight Loss
Lunch can arguably be one of the toughest meals when you are trying to lose weight. Many of us find it difficult to even eat a midday meal due to our busy schedules, so it seems almost impossible to make it healthy and nutritious. Right? Wrong. We are here to to provide you with tips and tricks to keep your metabolism working and keep you full throughout the day with a nutritious lunch.
Don’t Eat At Your Desk: Are you desk diner? It seems like most of Corporate America is. If you are serious about losing weight, then it is time to get your priorities in order and make time for lunch away from your desk. We recommend taking at least a 30 minute lunch break away from your desk for your body and your mind. Head to the picnic tables on the other side of the building or take the stairs to the fourth floor break room. Taking a short walk at lunch will get your heart pumping and your blood flowing.
Pack Your Lunch: Going out to lunch with your co-workers every day is where you will really start to see the pounds pile on. The best thing to do is to bring your lunch every day and then reward yourself by going out to lunch once a week. If you are dreading packing your lunch every day, then just make extra at dinner each night and bring leftovers.
Eat At The Right Time: It is important to bring a healthy morning snack that you can eat between breakfast and lunch. This will keep your metabolism working and prevent you from overeating at lunch. Find a time that fits with your schedule and try not to go more than 5 hours without eating a meal or snack during the day.
