Compounded Injections for Weight Control

Whether addressing unique metabolic needs or offering personalized weight management solutions, compounded medications empower healthcare professionals to deliver highly customized care to meet a patient’s specific health goals. However, it’s crucial for patients to work with licensed healthcare providers and choose reputable compounding pharmacies to ensure safety and efficacy. Discussed below are some of the compounded medications that may be prescribed to help you reach your long-term goals:

  • Compounded Weight Loss Shot – Unlike commercial versions, compounded weight loss shots may include different ingredients or additional components for specific prescription formulations or adjustments in dosages.
  • Compounded Peptide-Assisted Injection – Compounded peptide-assisted injections emerged as a vital solution for patients during national medication shortages and personalized prescriptions that align with an individual’s unique medical requirements.
  • Compounded Weight Medication – Compounded weight medications contains the active ingredient found in well-known medications, but is prepared in a compounding pharmacy for each individual’s prescriptive needs.
  • Compounded NAD+ – To address metabolic challenges, compounding pharmacies prepare customized NAD+ formulations, often in injectable form and tailored to individual health needs.
  • Compounded Lipo-B (MIC+B12) – Compounded by pharmacists, Lipo-B injections aim to optimize fat-burning efficiency, offering a valuable tool to complement wellness and weight management goals.
  • Compounded GAC (glutamine, arginine, carnitine) – GAC has been linked to improved energy levels, better regulation of circadian rhythms for quality sleep, faster recovery after exercise, and enhanced healing processes.
  • Compounded Glutathione – Glutathione provides a tailored approach for enhanced effectiveness by customizing the ingredients to address specific needs, such as cellular protection or detoxification support.
  • Compounded Sermorelin – By encouraging the body to use fat as an energy source through beta-oxidation, compounded sermorelin helps to revitalize the body and improves overall vitality for resilience with daily challenges.

Compounded medications offer an innovative and personalized approach to healthcare, especially for individuals whose needs cannot be met by commercially available drugs. These medications are custom-made by certified compounding pharmacies to address specific challenges, whether it’s creating a unique strength or dosage, altering the route of administration, or removing allergens from the formulation. Plus, compounding allows the combination of multiple medications into a single solution with convenience of patient customization.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I go for a DNA panel?

DNA collection is easy and can be performed at the MRC center. A quick swab of your cheek, and you're finished. Results will be back in a few days.

Can I use my HSA or FSA account to pay for my prescription?

Yes, we are able to accept Flex Spending/HSA cards with a Visa, Mastercard, American Expressas, or Discover logo as payment on eligible medical weight loss purchases. Eligibility is determined by your carrier, not Metabolic Research Center.

Do I have to be diagnosed with diabetes or prediabetes to be approved for medical weight loss?

No you do not have to have a prexisting diabetes or prediabetes diagnosis in order to particpate in injectable weight programs at Metabolic Research Center. A licensed healthcare provider will conduct a comprehensive exam in order to determine your eligibility for participating in medical weight loss programs.

My life spun out of control and so did my weight. How can MRC help me?

If you are overweight, you are likely more interested in losing fat (inches) rather than a specific amount of weight. For most people, their metabolism spends too much energy burning carbohydrates and has little juice left to burn fat. Nutritional ketosis works well for losing weight, especially stored fat. By rewiring your body to use specific levels of each macronutrient (fats, carbohydrates, proteins), you can control your weight.?We provide the support, education, and encouragement for you to attain your goal weight while celebrating your success every step of your journey.

Will my local pharmacist fill my prescription weight loss medication?

No. Your prescription will be filled by one our compounding pharmacies.

My doctor recommended I start this medication. Do I still need to have a medical screening?

Yes. Our healthcare provider will be the one to write your prescription; so, they will also need to screen you for eligiblity and participation before your weight loss medication can be written and filled by our licensed compounding pharmacy partners.

I crave fast foods and need accountability. How can MRC help me?

Losing weight and becoming a healthier you is not just about food habits that need changing; it includes your outlook and what you tell yourself. Our weight loss consultants provide the education and support, so you begin to see the effects of highly processed foods, high sugar, and empty calories as poison to your mind and body.?When you are ready to get started on your journey, contact the location nearest you for a free weight loss consultation.
