You might love to cook, and it can be excellent therapy when preparing healthy, aromatic meals. However, you might not always have the time to put into making wholesome dinners. However, it sometimes just takes learning about the perfect mixture of vegetables to put in your dishes.

The mirepoix vegetable mix is one classic soup stock veggie combination that you might want to also try incorporating into other meals. This group of veggies usually is made with two parts onion to one part carrot and one part celery. This 2:1:1 produce mixture not only makes the ideal chicken soup stock, but it also has been known to taste superb as ingredients in marinades and sauces.

For instance, you can use the mirepoix veggie mix to enhance your stir fries by sautéing them in a light coat of butter. This usually starts with browning the onion and carrots on medium-high heat and then adding the celery. Then, you would cook the entire mixture until the celery is as soft as you would like it. The smaller you cut the vegetables, the more readily they will release the pleasant scent that is so indicative of home cooking.

Another way to use a mirepoix mixture is to mince up the vegetables as finely a possible. Then, slowly cook them in other ingredients such as brown sugar or whatever marinade base you use. After that, you will want to brush or pour the mixture onto both sides of the meat. For ensuring extra flavor, you also could soak the sauce in your meat overnight.

For another added twist, you could try leeks instead of onions, or maybe add a couple of cloves of garlic. This mixture would have many of the antioxidants, antibodies and vitamins your body needs for detoxification.
