It's Fall the Time to Exercise Outdoors
As you unpack your fall clothing from storage containers, you realize something. For the fifth year in a row, you broke your promise to begin exercising in the summer. Because summer is officially over, you reason that you might as well wait until after the holidays to start a healthy eating and fitness plan. If you can relate to this common scenario, don’t give up on your weight loss dreams for this year so easily. In fact, fall is an amazing time to slip on your sneakers, head outdoors, and enjoy a waistline slimming workout.
The arrival of a new season is always a wonderful time to begin an exercise regimen. And, fall might actually be the best time of the year to start sculpting a new you. Due to the crisp, cool air outdoors, you won’t have to worry about overheating while working out. Also, the scenery outside during the fall months is breathtakingly beautiful. The orange, golden, red, and brown leaves of fall provide a colorful oasis that may make your bike ride, hike, or jog seem more like a relaxing escape than a vigorous workout.
Did you neglect to complete outside, household chores or home improvement projects over the summer because the daily temperatures were sweltering? Take advantage of the cooler weather of fall to paint your porch, clean your windows, or dig up some dead plants in your yard. Besides beautifying your home, you will burn some serious calories in the process. Also, go ahead and chop some wood to burn in your fireplace this winter. Chopping wood is great way to build up upper body strength and incinerate calories.
If you failed to start a fitness program over the summer, don’t despair. It’s never too late in the year, or in life for that matter, to begin exercising regularly. After engaging in some fall, outdoor workouts, you might become a fan of fitness for life.
