Easy Breakfast Ideas That Will Keep You Full
A balanced, easy-to-assemble make-ahead morning meal is an ideal way to break your fast with breakfast. Below are five healthy breakfast ideas that will keep you full all morning long.
Peanut Butter Waffle: Instead of covering your waffle in syrup, reduce the sugar and increase the protein by smearing a couple tablespoons of peanut butter on your waffle. Sprinkle a few raisins on top for even more fiber which will help deliver the meal’s nutrients slowly and surely.
Metashake: Running late? A Metashake is perfect for anyone on the go. Mix one packet with 2 cups of water for an easy and complete meal packed with protein, vitamins, minerals and vegetables.
Breakfast Pizza: No we’re not talking about that leftover frozen pizza from a few night’s ago. Instead, take a slice of whole-grain bread, spread a couple tablespoons of low-fat ricotta and add sliced tomatoes on top. A dash of salt and pepper and you are on your way out the door.
Greek Yogurt Parfait: Make a batch of granola at the beginning of the week. Then, each morning mix ¼ cup of granola with 1 cup of plain greek yogurt and a small handful of berries.
Spinach and Bacon Omelette: If you find yourself with a few extra minutes in the morning, then make a lean and green omelette. With only three ingredients - 1 egg plus 2 egg whites, 2 slices of bacon, crumbled, and 1 cup of baby spinach - you will have yourself a delicious and nutritious breakfast in under 10 minutes.
